Medical Director’s Message
Clinical and translational science researchers at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine are pivotal players in speeding discovery science from the laboratory to our patients’ bedsides. Our investigators seek answers to specific questions about vaccines, new drugs, new medical devices and new ways of using known treatments. There are active clinical trials on campus in cancer, HIV, diabetes, neurology, ophthalmology and other disease groups that mirror our expertise in discovery science. The collaboration between our scientists, physicians and volunteers who enroll in clinical trials, makes it possible for medical breakthroughs to reach the public.
All members of the Office of Research and Research Education – RIM – stand ready to assist our Miller School clinical investigators with their research. Let us support your team’s effort to find the next methods of prevention, treatments and cures.
